Even if your home Wi‑Fi is marked as Trusted, the Trend Micro app may still show the “Wi‑Fi Not Secured” popup in certain situations—especially when you open apps that require extra protection (such as banking or shopping apps). Trend Micro performs an additional safety check to ensure your connection stays secure during sensitive activity.
This can also happen if your phone briefly switches between Wi‑Fi bands or if the router’s security settings need updating.
To reduce the popups, please try the following:
- Make sure the Trend Micro app is updated
- Refresh your router’s security settings (WPA2 or WPA3 recommended)
- Turn off battery optimization for the Trend Micro app
- Re-add your home network as Trusted
- Restart your device
If the alerts continue, reinstalling the app usually resolves the issue.
